This week our school council had a wonderful visit with the Mayor of Dunstable.
The mayor set up the room to look like a real council meeting, with printed agendas for everyone. She talked to us about her job as mayor and shared interesting stories about Dunstable's history.
One of our students even got to dress up as the mayor and humorously said, "If I were mayor, we could all have a 4-day weekend!"
The mayor was very kind and answered all our questions. We learned a lot about how the local government works and had a great time.
